01 / About

Engineer first, framework second.

I started writing Ruby on Rails in 2023, through a campus-placed internship at Mallow Technologies, after finishing a B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering at Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore (GPA 8.1/10). Aeronautics is an unforgiving discipline: you learn to reason about whole systems, tolerances and failure modes before you build anything. That habit carried straight into how I design software.

From there I grew into a full-stack developer at Magicpitch, working across Rails and React on a B2B AI lead-generation platform. Today I am the sole Rails engineer at Applaunch, where I own a production medical-education SaaS end to end: APIs, billing, authentication, translations, background jobs and deployment.

I am now moving deeper into AI. I am architecting a RAG-based LLM chatbot that answers questions grounded in verified course content, and I use AI coding tools every day under one strict rule: AI drafts, I own and verify every line.

What I care about is ownership and reliability: idempotent systems, versioning, audit trails, and code the next engineer can read without a guide. I build things real users depend on, and I am looking for a strong team to learn from and a bigger scale to grow into.

What I'm building
A retrieval-augmented generation pipeline as a separate Node.js service alongside the Rails app. Course content is chunked, converted to embeddings and stored in a vector database. At query time the question is embedded, similar chunks are retrieved, and that context is passed to the LLM so answers are grounded in real source material. The work includes evaluating answer accuracy and hallucination against the source content.

MRI Essentials: Medical Education SaaS

Publishing medical content carries real risk. Wrong information must be reviewable, traceable and reversible.

What I built
A draft-and-publish chapter versioning and approval workflow using PaperTrail. Authors draft, peers approve, content publishes as a new version, with full audit history and one-step rollback.

  • Multi-provider billing (Stripe, Apple StoreKit 2, Google Play) with idempotent webhook handling via a Node microservice
  • Devise-JWT authentication with server-side token revocation (denylist)
  • A 10+ language translation pipeline (Globalize + DeepL)
  • Background and scheduled jobs (Delayed Job, Active Job, Whenever)
  • Media on CarrierWave / S3 / CloudFront
  • Push notifications via Rpush

ImInNeed: SOS Emergency Response Platform

Problem
People in danger need to alert nearby responders instantly and reliably.
What I worked on
Node.js / Express / MongoDB backend: geospatial nearby-responder search ($nearSphere with Haversine distance), critical push alerts via FCM and APNS, JWT auth with JTI blacklist and TTL index for revocation, dual app-store (Apple / Google) purchase webhooks, GDPR data features, 42 REST endpoints, a Jest test suite, GitLab CI with Trivy vulnerability and Gitleaks secret scanning, and AWS CodeDeploy.
Impact
Reliable real-time emergency alerting with hardened auth and CI-enforced security.

Problem
Retailers and wholesalers need a multi-party marketplace with distinct roles, payments and real-time updates.
What I worked on
NestJS / TypeScript / MongoDB backend: ~300 REST endpoints across four role-based portals, Stripe Connect multi-party payments, role-based access control (6 roles), Socket.io real-time updates, and Firebase integration.

Magicpitch: AI Lead-Generation Platform

Problem
Sales teams need to find prospects, run outreach campaigns and track results in one place.
What I did
Co-built the dashboard and admin (Rails + React): campaign scheduling, email tracking, prospect import/export and third-party integrations. Profiled and fixed query and rendering bottlenecks, reducing dashboard load time by 25%.
Impact
A faster, more stable platform, and shipped integrations that lifted customer satisfaction.

Problem
Teams needed to capture prospect data from LinkedIn and work with it in spreadsheets without manual copying.
What I built
A Chrome Extension for browser-level LinkedIn data extraction into the platform (Sept 2024 – Jul 2025), and a Google Sheets Add-on (Apps Script + React) to fetch, manipulate and analyse platform data directly in Sheets.
Impact
Removed manual data-entry work for internal teams.
